Re:Play Rich Hipster
Are we ready for the Re: Freshed Chrisette Michele??
On her new look & sound:
I took some time off to travel and cleanse. I became vegan over that time of introspection and decided to be un-afraid to show my true self with my art. I’ve decided to style myself from now on, and express my ideas and points of view the way I choose. Paris reminded me that it’s ok to wear my “art” on my sleeve. I call this new sense of self, of being, of creativity “Rich Hipster”. I’m rich in heart and rich in art.

Fresh Noise: Future Soul
"Life is like a story, and everyone is their own author."
Can we keep the music (and fashion) imports coming in from Down Under please? There is no denying that artists like Goyte and Kimbra have certainly injected a breath of fresh Southern Pacific air into the current music scene. Hiatus Kaiyote are an independent future soul group based in Melbourne. They immediately put me in the mind of Little Dragon with more of a jazzy vibe and Vocalist Nai Palm's voice is soulfully intoxicating not much unlike Yukimi's. They released their debut album TAWK TOMAHAWK in April of this year, definitely worth a listen. Malika and Nakamarra are repeat worthy tunes for sure.

Re: Fresh Noise Alice Smith
Remember that infectious raspy voice of Alice Smith's Dream? What becomes of these one hit wonders? It's like in music breath of fresh air dissipates into fine air just as quickly as it came... drowned out in the noise of the next big thing. Thank goodness for social media and websites like Kickstarter, where you as a fan can influence and help some of your favorite artist release new material without undergoing the label drama and industry politics that comes along with releasing new music.

Re: Fresh Noise | Jesse Boykins III
“I create World Soul that marks moments in time. Each time I introduce new music to my fans I want it to become a defining part of their lives as much as it is a part of mine.”

Fresh Noise Jessie Ware
Another lovely English girl with a dope voice. If you've heard an infectious SBTRKT track, chances are you've heard her. Her debut album Devotion out August 20 (UK) is available for pre-order.
